Do you find yourself feeling triggered or maybe stuck in a cycle of angst, fear, worries even after you have "made it" so far and have "moved on" from hurtful things?

It may be that you're needing to go back and address those past wounds or that you're still functioning from your previously wounded state and you're not matching the outside world to what's your current inner state.

If you have been working on your healing and growth, but you're finding yourself stuck or slipping into old patterns, here are some tips that may help realign and move forward:

Pause & Observe Without Judgment

• Instead of resisting the stuckness, allow yourself to fully witness it.

• Ask yourself: What is this moment showing me?

• Remind yourself that this is temporary and does not define you.

Shift from Thought to Awareness

• Recognize that thoughts are just passing patterns, not ultimate truths.

• Instead of engaging with the thought, return to the awareness behind it.

• Gently affirm: I am not my thoughts. I am the presence observing them.

Use Breath to Return to Center

• Take a few slow, intentional breaths, lengthening the exhale.

• Let your breath reconnect you to stillness and clarity.

• Feel the shift from mental noise to embodied presence.

Redirect Focus to the Present Moment

• Engage your senses: What do you see, hear, or feel right now?

• Move your body—stretch, walk, run or ground yourself with touch.

• Doing something physically present can interrupt the loop of stuckness.

By all means, hold off on making important decisions if you are in an emotionally charged hurtful state- this will reinforce old patterns.

Anchor Back to Your Deepest Truth

• Remind yourself: I am the being behind all of this.

• Connect with the truth that you create from your space, not from old patterns.

• Ask: What is the most loving and light-filled way forward?

Take One Small Action

• Even a tiny shift in behavior can help break the pattern.

• This could be journaling, speaking aloud an affirmation, doing a micro-task or simply asking yourself "what am I not seeing?"

• Action reinforces the choice to step out of stuckness and remembering that there are other ways of seeing things. Get yourself a restful sleep. This will help.
